New Delhi, Jan 07 (ANI): Politicos welcomed the 'delayed but new findings' in Sunanda Pushkar's death case although they smelled some political influence in the probe. The Delhi Police on Tuesday confirmed that Pushkar was murdered by poisoning. BJP leader GVL Narasimha Rao welcomed the same and hoped that Delhi Police will further the investigation and brought the culprit to the book. NCP leader Majid Memon said that this took a very long time and thus the investigation and evidences may have been hampered by now. Congress and BJP react as Delhi Police says Sunanda Pushkar was murdered

New Delhi, Jan 06 (ANI): Congress and BJP on Tuesday react as Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi confirmed that Sunanda Pushkar was murdered. A case of murder under Section 302 of IPC has been registered against unknown people. Bassi said that it is not a case of natural death and that medical report states that she was poisoned. Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that the police should carry on a fair investigation in the case and also questioned on such a delay in filing the FIR in the case. BJP leader GVL Narasimha Rao said that there is nothing to politicize the issue and said that Delhi police will see that the accused are brought to book. BJP leader Subramanian Swamy also welcomed the finding and said that Congress leader and Pushkar's husband Shashi Tharoor will be brought to book even as he alleged that Tharoor was involved in the murder.
