New Delhi, Sep 05 (ANI): Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu said that people of India are elated with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Naidu was addressing a news conference with journalists at the Press Club of India. When asked about the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) not taking any initiative to hold elections in Delhi, he said his party will again witness a sweeping victory if it happens. He added that with regard to holding elections in the national capital, the assessment has to be made by Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung. Answering a query about Congress party, blaming the BJP for trying to spread fear of terror in the country, he slammed the party by saying it is not able to reconcile to the reality of the current political situation in the country. Australian PM Tony Abbott arrives in Delhi, to meet PM Modi & Foreign Minister

Mumbai/ New Delhi, Sep 04 (ANI): Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott on Thursday arrived in national capital Delhi while on his two-day visit to India. Abbott was received by Power Minister Piyush Goyal and other dignitaries at the airport. He is scheduled to meet India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj. Earlier, while attending an event at Cricket Club of India (CCI) in Mumbai, Abbott said that cricket brings people together. The event also saw the gracious presence of former Australian cricketers, Brett Lee and Adam Gilchrist, and former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar.
