New Delhi, Oct 26 (ANI): Talking about soaring onion prices in Delhi, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit hoped of reduction in onion prices soon. Dikshit said that government met Sharad Pawar and KV Thomas about the same as requested for relief in prices. She also said that Election Commission has agreed for the government run vans to start again and remained hopeful for supply of onions from Alwar and Nashik. Onion prices likely to fall in 2-3 weeks: Sharad Pawar

New Delhi, Oct 24 (ANI): Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar on Thursday said that no drop in onion production is expected due to some crop damage because of rains. He said that the prices are likely to fall in the next 2-3 weeks. The minister said that the Centre will release Rs 921.98 crore to Maharashtra for the damages caused to onion crop due to excess rains. Sheila Dikshit assures onion prices to come down soon

New Delhi, Oct 24 (ANI): In the wake of rising prices of onion, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit after meeting Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar and Food Minister KV Thomas on Thursday assures that the prices of onions will come down soon enough. Dikshit confirmed that the onions are coming in better quantity now which will ease the prices. She also said that the government will appeal to the Election Commission to allow restarting of the government vans and other things so that the prices can be subsidized.
