Bangalore, Oct 18 (ANI): AIADMK supremo and former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa walked out of Parappana Agrahara Central Prison on Saturday. The Supreme Court granted her interim bail on medical grounds in disproportionate assets case on Friday. A huge convoy escorted the AIADMK chief out of Bangalore jail. Jayalalithaa will take a private flight from HAL airport to Chennai, where thousands of party workers are waiting to welcome her. Security tightened outside jail ahead of Jayalalitha's release

Bangalore, Oct 18 (ANI): AIADMK Chief and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalaithaa will be released from the Bangalore central jail this afternoon, after the Supreme Court granted her interim bail on medical grounds on Friday. Security has been tightened outside the Parappana Agrahara jail ahead of Jayalalithaa's release who was languishing in jail for the past 20 days after being held guilty in a disproportionate assets case. The police have also imposed restriction on the movement of people under section 144 in one kilometer radius around the Central Jail. A petition has also been moved in the Supreme Court seeking a direction to shift Jayalalithaa from Bangalore to the Chennai Central Prison. Oct 18, 2014

Chennai, Oct 17 (ANI): Supporters of AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa gathered outside her residence to celebrate after the Supreme Court on Friday granted interim bail to her in the disproportionate assets case. Earlier, BJP leader and a petitioner in the case Subramanian Swamy informed that the Karnataka High Court is yet to decide whether the sentence should be suspended or not and on this basis the bail was granted to her by the Supreme Court. He added that the court gave bail on the grounds that Jayalalithaa is unwell and needs treatment. She will stay at home and not go out till December 18. Oct 17, 2014

AIADMK supporters perform special prayers for Jayalalithaa's release

Chennai, Oct 14 (ANI): All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) cadres on Tuesday performed a special prayer, "Anga Prathikshanam" in the Vadapalani Murugan temple premises, for the release of party chief and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. About 51 cadres of AIADMK woman's wing headed by South Chennai District Secretary, Saraswathi Rangaswamy, along with hundreds of other cadres were present for the prayer offered for the release of their chief Jayalalithaa.
