Manipur, Feb 14 (ANI): A week-long 22nd Senior School Cadet Kick Boxing Championship was recently held at the Sekta Community Hall Commando Complex at Sekta Mayai Leikai in Manipur. Over 250 players, including boys and girls from different districts took part in the event. The tournament was organized by the Kick Boxing Training School, Sekta, under the aegis of the Kick Boxing Association of Manipur. The 12th edition of the Director General Assam Rifles (DGAR) Cup State Equestrian Championships and the 6th IGAR (South) Junior Equestrian Championships was also held at the Polo Ground in Imphal. Imphal: Three BSF jawans injured in twin IED blasts

Imphal, Feb 08 (ANI): Three Border Security Force (BSF) jawans including one Sub-Inspector and two constables were injured in twin IED blasts that took place at Napetpali village in Imphal. The injured were rushed to the RIMS Emergency Service for medical aid. After the explosion, the security forces, BSF, Assam Rifles and State Police Commando team investigated the locality and nabbed six suspected youths from the area for further verification. Two suspected Kuki militants killed, three others injured in encounter in Imphal

Imphal, Jan 29 (ANI): Two suspected Kuki National Front (KNF) militants were killed and three others were injured in a gun battle between 8 Assam Rifles and the militants at Kadangband in Imphal. The security personnel were on high alert following a series of attacks by insurgents during the Republic day celebrations. Sources said the occupants of a jeep fired indiscriminately during a routine check at Kadangband. The security forces retaliated leading to the death of two insurgents on the spot. The three injured persons have been identified as Helen Kuki (30), Satmamang Kuki (23) and Thangkholin Kuki (25). All the three injured suspected KNF cadres are undergoing treatment at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, informed a source. The encounter took place on Wednesday evening and lasted for ten minutes. Jan 29, 2015
