Workshop to preserve and promote traditional headgear and dress held in Manipur

Manipur, Oct 17 (ANI): These artisans are skilled in making traditional headgears and dresses. Around 25 artisans from different tribes and communities of Manipur are participating in a ten-day long workshop in Imphal. In Manipur, different tribes wear distinct headgears to highlight their identity. The workshop is being held with an aim to revive and promote traditional headgears and dresses. Elders from different tribes taught the youth how to make the headgear. Haryana govt files 2nd chargesheet against Khemka

New Delhi, Oct 17 (ANI): Haryana government on Thursday agreed to file second chargesheet against senior IAS officer Ashok Khemka, who had earlier exposed the land deals done by UPA President Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra in Haryana. Khemka is likely to be given a major penalty under the service rules, according to sources. Khemka has been charged with administrative misconduct and exceeding jurisdiction for cancelling the mutation of the Rs 58 crore land deal between Vadra's company, Skylight Hospitality, and estate major DLF in October 2012. He had also ordered an inquiry into the undervaluation of land deals done in four districts in Haryana, adjoining New Delhi, by Vadra. Oct 17, 2013

New Delhi, Oct 13 (ANI): Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Saturday visited the Subhash Park in New Delhi where the effigy of the evil king Ravana, Meghnad and Kubhakaran burned at about 06:15 PM to mark the celebration of Hindu festival Dussehra. The dignitaries then visited the Ramlila Maidan like every year to witness the ritual. The other high dignitaries present at the site were Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dekshit and Law Minister Kapil Sibal along with Priyanka Gandhi.
