Slain Indian security personnel's family proud of his sacrifice in 2001 parliament attack

Sonipat, Dec 13 (ANI): Family members of security personnel who died in the 2001 parliament attack said on Saturday that they were proud of the sacrifice made by him for the country. India is observing the 13th anniversary of the deadly parliament attack, in which 14 people, including five militants, six personnel of Delhi police, and three government staff, died, causing increased tensions between India and Pakistan. Garima Yadav, daughter of JP Yadav, a security personnel who was among those killed in the attack, said her father and others had laid down their lives for the country. Meanwhile, wife of Yadav, Prem Yadav, said India sent a strong message by punishing the attackers. New Delhi said the attackers, who detonated explosives and hurled grenades, belonged to Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad and Lashkar-e-Taiba militant groups fighting its rule in Indian Kashmir and had intended to assassinate top political figures.
