Madhya Pradesh: Woman delivers 10 stillborn babies

Rewa, Dec 17 (ANI): In an extremely rare case, a woman hailing from Satna village in Madhya Pradesh delivered dectuplets but all stillborn. The woman, Anju Kushwaha was being taken to the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial hospital, 125 km away in neighbouring Rewa district, after she went into labour but she delivered nine stillborn babies on the way and one in the hospital. The doctor attending her case, earlier said that on first examination of the patient the pregnancy appeared as eight months old. However, later it was found out that Kushwaha was undergoing treatment for infertility. Earlier in October, Kushwaha suffered a miscarriage, doctor said. Dec 17, 2013

New Delhi, Dec 16 (ANI): Reacting over the latest revelations made in former justice AK Ganguly sexual assault case, Union Law Minister Kapil Sibal on Monday said that Ganguly should now submit his resignation. Excerpts of an affidavit by a law intern, who has accused Ganguly of sexual harassment, have been made public in an unusual step by Additional Solicitor General Indira Jaising, sparking off fresh demands for his resignation as chairman of the West Bengal Human Rights Commission (WBHRC). In her affidavit to a three-judge panel set up by Chief Justice of India P Sathasivam to go into her allegation that Justice Ganguly had sexually harassed her in a hotel room on December 24 last year, the intern has described in detail his alleged behaviour when she had gone to assist him in his work. ASG writes to PM for removal of Justice AK Ganguly

Kolkata, Dec 16 (ANI): Additional Solicitor General Indira Jaising wrote to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and sought removal of former Supreme Court Judge AK Ganguly from the post of chairman of West Bengal Human Rights Commission. Addressing mediapersons on Sunday, Jaising stated that people who implement the law should live by the law. Ganguly has been accused of sexually assaulting a law intern who worked with him. The Supreme Court had set up a three-judge panel, which heard testimonies from both, the law intern and Ganguly and submitted its report to the Chief Justice of India, P.
