Artists showed their talent of puppetry and brought back the traditional Rajasthan art form to the minds of the people at the fair in Rajasthan s Ajmer town. The fair, kicked off on November 06, is known worldwide to present a brilliant combination of camel rides, various sporting events, Indian handicrafts, and mouth-savouring food. Set against the backdrop of Rajasthan s picturesque landscape, the annual fair offers a lifetime experience for the tourists. The puppet show attracted visitors especially children as it was clubbed with Rajasthani folk music. Tourist officials said the traditional form of Rajasthani theatre showcased at the road shows conducted across the country provides an opportunity to the artisans to make a quick buck. The festival kicked off in the summer capital, Srinagar on the banks of famed Dal Lake, at Sher-i-KashmirInternational Conference Centre (SKICC). Shahsrang celebrates various genres of Kashmiri Sufiyana, folk music and Kashmiri light music. The festival includes grand cultural show presented by renowned Kashmiri artists. Shahsrang focuses on the traditional use of mystic poetry, the songs of yearning and remembrance of history that have fashioned Kashmir s folk music into an essential repository of memory and faith. A number of music lovers were seen enjoying the mystic musical performances by various Kashmiri artistes. The defining feature of the society of Jammu and Kashmir is Sufism. The 'Little Master' will bring the curtain down on a glittering 24-year career at the age of 40 when he plays his 200th test match, against West Indies, at his home ground starting on Thursday. Statistically the greatest batsman of all time, Tendulkar's greatness goes far beyond those numbers. The cricket bats made of sand in different colours and the sculpture lured domestic and international tourists who gathered at the beach in Puri, a coastal district of India's eastern Odisha state. Rampur, Nov 15 (ANI): Visitors thronged the much-awaited 'Lavi Fair' (trade fair) in Rampur city of India's northern Himachal Pradesh state on Monday. This is one of the oldest trade fairs, promoting farm produce, handicrafts and handlooms. The annual trade fair was inaugurated by Chief Minister of India's Himachal Pradesh, Virbhadra Singh in Rampur with much fanfare. This four-day trade fair, which is organised in November every year, is said to be 500 years old and the provincial government also refers it to as an International Trade Fair.
