Seven Maoists surrender in red corridor of Chhattisgarh

Ranchi, Aug 21 (ANI): Tired of internal politics, seven Maoists surrender to Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Chhattisgarh state. Maoists sent a message to the CRPF stating the various factors responsible for their surrender. They said that promotion to higher levels inside the Maoist organisations is only given to members from Andhra Pradesh. They also said that they were not allowed to meet their family members. CRPF is seeing the surrender as a big achievement, especially because of the surrender of a Maoist named Kranti, who was wanted, in various major operations and attacks by the insurgents. Some of the surrendered Maoists are Improvised Explosive Device (IED) experts. Aug 21, 2014
