Hyderabad, Mar 4 (ANI): Telangana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS) Chief K Chandrashekar Rao, has denied merger with Congress party. Congress leader Digvijay Singh had earlier hinted that the TRS will merge with the Congress. He had said that the consultation process between the two parties was over. However, ending days of speculation and dashing the hopes of Congress, the TRS ruled out any merger with the Congress. K Chandrashekar Rao had joined hands with TDP against Congress for the 2009 elections. But his party had suffered a serious setback and won only two Lok Sabha seats and 10 Assembly seats in the region. Mar 4, 2014

AP Governor ESL Narasimhan to hold charge during Presidents rule in state

Hyderabad, March 03 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan said that the state which has now come under the President’s rule may be supervised by him as per the direction of President Pranab Mukherjee. He said the President has taken charge of the state with the intention of creating a congenial and conducive atmosphere for stable administration. The central government had recommended the imposition of President’s rule in Andhra Pradesh on Friday. On Saturday, Pranab Mukherjee gave his assent to the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill, 2014 and also approved cabinet’s recommendation. President gives assent to Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill

New Delhi, Mar 1 (ANI): President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday gave assent to the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill. This will pave way for the creation of Telangana as the country's 29th state by splitting Andhra Pradesh. He also approved the imposition of President's Rule in Andhra Pradesh.
