New Delhi, Dec 06 (ANI): The National Commission of Women on Friday took suo motu cognizance of the law intern case in which retired Supreme Court judge AK Ganguly was named as an accused for allegedly sexually harassing a girl. The NCW has sent two notices on the matter. One of the notices has been sent to Justice Ganguly to explain his position post the indictment by the three-member panel of the Supreme Court. The second notice has been sent to Delhi Police Commissioner as to why the action was not taken after the girl had narrated the entire incidence of harassment. Dec 6, 2013

New Delhi, Dec 05 (ANI): After an NGO filed an FIR complaint against Justice AK Ganguly (retd.), who has been accused of sexually harassing a law intern, All India Mahila Congress President Shobha Oza said that nobody is above law and the law should take its course. Further, she said that if Ganguly is innocent, he will be released with due respect. Oza said that after an FIR is being launched against anyone, he/she should leave his government position. Sushma Swaraj's demand for AK Ganguly's resignation draws mixed reactions

Kolkata/ New Delhi, Dec 03 (ANI): A day after BJP Senior leader Sushma Swaraj demanded the resignation of former Supreme Court judge AK Ganguly, accused of sexually harassing a law intern, politicos from different political parties reacted on the same. While BJP Vice President supported the fellow party leader's stand, NCP leader Tariq Anwar said that as the investigation is under process, Ganguly should resign. JD (U) leader Shivanand Tiwari said that he should be tried like any other accused and the charge on him cannot be judged on the basis of age or position.
