Rajnath Singh says probe into Sunanda Pushkar death case impartial and bereft of political pressure

New Delhi, Jan 15 (ANI): Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday denied any political pressure in the inquiry into the murder of Sunanda Pushkar. Congress leader Shashi Tharoor's wife Sunanda Pushkar was found dead in her five-star hotel room in Delhi in January 2014, after publicly accusing Tharoor of having an extra-marital affair with a Pakistani journalist. Singh said every probe conducted by Delhi Police is unbiased. Meanwhile, Tharoor, who is in Kolkata to attend a book festival evaded media and queries regarding the case. Sunanda Murder Case: BS Bassi says relevant investigation will be done by SIT

New Delhi, Jan 12 (ANI): Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi said on Monday that investigation in Sunanda Pushkar murder case will be done by SIT on all relevant points. On being asked about SIT questioning Shashi Tharoor, Bassi said that if SIT finds it relevant he too will be questioned. Further Bassi assured that the case will soon reach a logical conclusion. New Delhi, Jan 08 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy on Thursday said it is now time for former union minister and Congress leader Shashi Tharoor to speak the truth in the case of her wife Sunanda Pushkar Tharoor's death. According to reports, Delhi Police had earlier on Wednesday issued a legal notice to Shashi Tharoor asking him to join the murder probe of his wife Sunanda Pushkar at the earliest. Delhi's Police Commissioner BS Bassi had said on Wednesday that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to carry forward the probe in the case.
