Hamid Hansari, outgoing Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, other dignitaries reached Virbhumi, the Samadhi of Rajiv Gandhi in the national capital and paid floral tributes to him. Manmohan Singh takes responsibility of Congress's failure on government front

New Delhi, May 20 (ANI): As Sonia and Rahul Gandhi offered to step down from the their posts in Congress party, PM Manmohan Singh took responsibility of party's failure on government front where he said it could not control the rising inflation and corruption leading to landslide victory of Narendra Modi. Congress leader Janardan Dwivedi addressed a news conference in New Delhi soon after the Congress working committee meeting was over. He said both Congress chief and vice president offered to quit but the members of the committee refused to accept their resignation and said it was not a solution. Singh who was present in the meeting said his government failed to control the inflation and other problems like rising corruption which dented the image of the party and therefore he was responsible for any failures on the government front.
