Sadiq Khan: Labour not just talking the talk, but walking the walk

Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, spoke to the Labour conference in Liverpool on 27 September saying that now the leadership contest was over they needed to concentrate on getting into power. Prince William and Kate Middleton begin offical engagments on second day of Canadian royal tour

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge went to Vancouver on 24 September, as they began their official engagements on the royal tour of Canada. Without George and Charlotte the royal couple flew on a sea plane, visited a charity for vulnerable women and met emergency responders for Vancouver. Miami Marlins baseball star José Fernández killed in boat crash

José Fernández was killed after a boat he was in made severe contact with a rocky jetty on Sunday (25 September) off the coast of Florida the US Coast Guard confirmed. Fernandez was one of three victims who died in the accident. The Marlins cancelled its game against the Atlanta Braves because of Fernandez’s death. Sep 25, 2016

Charlotte police releases video footage of Keith Lamont Scott shooting

Charlotte police released two videos of the fatal shooting of a 43-year-old black man, whose death on 20 September led to riots and protests in North Carolina. The footage was recorded by a police body camera and a vehicle dashcam.The Charlotte police department had previously refused to release the footage until the investigation into the incident was complete. Scott’s death sparked riots in the North Carolina town. The protests against police violence are still ongoing. Sep 25, 2016
