Kite Festival celebrated to strengthen bond between people in Manipur

Manipur, Feb 19 (ANI): A large number of people belonging to different ethnic communities gathered at the Telou Paokuan Chingol in Imphal to celebrate the Kite festival. The festival was organized by Manipur Kite Club in association with Pari Puri Pukei Eco-tourism Centre, Telou with an aim to strengthen ties between people of the hills and the valleys. A variety of colorful kites soaring high in the sky were a huge attraction. As a part of the celebrations, young artists from Meitei community performed the Lai haraoba dance. Cultural troupes from different tribes like Tangkhul, Chiru and Kuki performed their traditional dances.
