Latehar, Sep 26 (ANI): Jharkhand Police has seized ample ammunition and also two horses after a brief gun-battle with Maoists in Latehar region. Police were conducting an anti-Maoist campaign in Kurumkheta jungle of the district when the commandoes of CoBRA (Combat Battalion for Resolute Action) spotted possible presence of the ultras. Following a gun battle, the Maoists managed to flee from the scene. However, security forces conducted a thorough search of the area, during which they seized two horses and 147 bullets of 8 mm guns. This is a result of successful efforts by the security forces to combat left-wing extremism, and developmental work undertaken by the government, which has stopped disgruntled youth from joining the Naxals. Maoists have been hit hard, but to show their presence, their attacks on security forces and political leaders have intensified in the recent months. New Delhi, Sep 20 (ANI): Singapore Airlines Ltd and Tata group, owner of the Jaguar and Land Rover brands, have entered into a pact to set up a new full-service airline in India and also have sought approval for this tie-up to function from New Delhi. India___s Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh clarified this while interacting with the media persons in the national capital. Tata Sons said it will own 51 percent of the carrier and Singapore Airlines will own the remainder.
