Gadchiroli, Aug 13 (ANI): Two Maoists were killed in an encounter with police in India___s western province of Maharashtra. The rebels opened unprovoked firing at the police in the Khobramenda forest of Gadchiroli district. Superintendent of Police, Sandip Patil, confirmed the death of the two Maoists. Meanwhile, Patil also said they have recovered various arms and ammunitions during the search operation. The rebel group, which claims to be fighting for the rights of the poor and landless, controls some of India_s mineral-rich areas and operate in large swathes of the eastern, central and southern countryside. New Delhi, Aug 12 (ANI): Aam Aadmi party demanded revoking of orders issued by the ruling BJP government that stripped the Delhi Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) of its powers to probe government employees for bribery. The move was aimed at clipping the powers that the Arvind Kejriwal-led government invoked to book two petroleum ministers earlier this year. AAP leader Sanjay Singh said that they demand immediate repealing of the notification which the government had issued. This notification gave the ACB a free hand to probe offences under the anti-corruption law in Delhi, irrespective of who is involved.
