LOS ANGELES Pretty in pink was the dress code for the two female stars of “Blended”. Just four weeks after giving birth to her second daughter, Drew Barrymore returned to the red carpet in a lacy dress by Tadashi Shoji while Bella Thorne donned a strapless number by Zac Posen. And Drew also had an all-important accessory with her: hubby Will Kopelman. Co-star Adam Sandler dressed down for the premiere but luckily his wife Jackie picked up the slack. Elsewhere in Los Angeles, the cast of AMC’s latest series “Halt and Catch Fire” gathered for its premiere. Former “Pushing Daisies” actor Lee Pace leads the drama that’s set in the 1980s. And there was much excitement at the finale of “American Idol”. Posing for the cameras pre-show were judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. along with special performers Demi Lovato, Jennifer Nettles and KISS. Caleb Johnson was ultimately named the winner. CANNES Checking in with the Cannes Film Festival, power couple Kelly Preston and John Travolta hosted a star studded bash for the Puerto Azul Experience. That’s all for now. And while the actor stepped behind the camera to direct “Lost River” - he was the center of attention at the movie’s premiere. Joining him on the red carpet was his leading lady Christina Hendricks of “Mad Men” fame. Elsewhere at the fest, Salma Hayek has been making the rounds in promotion of “The Prophet”. The movie is a labor of love for Salma – who produced the animated feature. Cannes is not only about plugging projects, it’s also known for its fabulous parties. And the De Grisogono bash drew in everyone from socialites Paris Hilton, Cara Delevingne and Tamara Ecclestone to Sharon Stone and Rosario Dawson. May 22, 2014

And Steve Carell has been earning rave reviews for his role in “Foxcatcher”. The comedic actor plays a sociopathic killer in the real life drama. Steve walked the red carpet with co-stars Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo at the movie’s premiere. LOS ANGELES Meanwhile, Mark’s castmates from "The Normal Heart" held down the fort at a Los Angeles screening of the HBO movie. In attendance were actors Matt Bomer, Taylor Kitsch and Jim Parsons.
