Uma Bharti wields broom to promote cleanliness drive

New Delhi, Sep 27 (ANI): Water Resource Minister Uma Bharti along with her officers on Saturday wielded the broom in the premises of Shram Shakti Bhavan outside her office to promote Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pet project 'Swacch Bharat Abhiyan'. Bharti said that she will continue to clean the premises of the office for the next seven days and seeing her clean the premises the employees would keep the place clean out of shame or out of duty sense. Ravi Shankar Prasad sweeps his office premises taking part in Clean India Mission

New Delhi, Sep 26 (ANI): Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Friday swept his department premises along with his officers in New Delhi as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi pet project 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' (Clean India Mission). The NDA Government pledges to completely clean India by October 2019, coinciding with 150th birth anniversary of freedom fighter and peace icon Mahatma Gandhi. As a part of its ambitious plan, the Modi government will spend nearly rupees 2000 billion in five years. Prasad said the government was committed to the mission and proposed to clean railway station in Patna on October 02. Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda to participate in railway cleaning drive

Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda said on Thursday, a special cleanliness drive will be carried out in all railway stations across the country on October 02, the birth anniversary of iconic freedom fighter, Mahatma Gandhi. Indian cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi had on September 24 given nod to clean India mission ‘Swachch Bharat', which will be operative for five years. Gowda, while addressing a news conference in New Delhi, said the ministers are welcome to visit any railway station on that day. He also invited railway employees to voluntarily participate in this gigantic programme. Congratulations pour in for Mangalyaan team from all over

New Delhi, Sept 24 (ANI): Congratulations poured in on Wednesday for the Mangalyaan team of ISRO after the Mars Orbiter Mission successfully entered the orbit of the red planet. With this India became the first nation in the world to be successful in reaching Mars in its very maiden attempt. US space agency National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) sent in a congratulatory tweet saying, "We congratulate @ISRO for its Mars arrival! @MarsOrbiter joins the missions studying the Red Planet. #JourneyToMars." India's political fraternity was also quick to send greetings at ISRO's grand success.
