Goa/ Karnataka/ Gujarat, Jan 1 (ANI): After an eventful year, India welcomed 2014 with celebrations, music and food festivals. Thousands of foreign tourists thronged India's party capital, Goa, which boasts colonial Portuguese charm, sun-kissed beaches and great seafood. The New Year parties arranged in various hotels and clubs, besides on the off-shore casinos received overwhelming response from the tourists visiting the state. A resident of Bangalore, Anjali, wished for a peaceful 2014. In Ahmedabad, people welcomed the New Year with cultural programs and traditional dance performances.
