Wipro quarterly profit beats estimates

Bengaluru, Jan 17 (ANI): India's third-biggest software services company Wipro reported a near-9 percent rise in third-quarter profit, slightly ahead of analysts' forecasts, helped by a rise in clients' technology spending. The company said revenue from its IT services business is expected to be $1.8 billion to $1.85 billion in the January-March period, representing growth of up to 3.4 percent from the preceding quarter. Wipro also announced the appointment of Jatin Dalal, senior vice president in the finance department, to take over from retiring CFO Suresh Senapaty from April. Jan 17, 2015

Bangalore, Oct 23 (ANI): Software services firm Wipro Ltd narrowly missed market expectations with an eight percent rise in second-quarter profit, but said it saw a rosier end to the year as more confident US clients increased spending. Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer Suresh Senapaty added that the company continued to build leadership position in infrastructure services and continued the momentum of deal wins. Wipro and Aditya Birla Group all positive for India's growth at 'Make in India' campaign launch

New Delhi, Sep 25 (ANI): During the launch of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Make in India' campaign in New Delhi on Thursday, Wipro and Aditya Birla Group remained positive for India's growth under the campaign. Wipro Chairman Azim Premji said that outsourcing is a mindset of an organization to think, to act and to translate. He said that the campaign calls for demand for innovative minds and not rote learners. Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla welcomed the campaign and said that this is even more important as it coincides with launch of Mangalyaan by India.
