BSE closes points 272.82 up on Jan 23

New Delhi, Jan 23 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 272.82 points up to stand at 29,278.84. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 74.20 points up to stand at 8,835.60. SPARC and MAX were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 20.00% and 9.03% along with RTN POWER and ADANI ENTERPRISES LTD. with an increase of 8.79% and 7.92% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include IPCA LAB and POLARIS with a decrease of 8.62% and 6.73% along with SUZLON and PMCFIN with a decrease of 6.35% and 4.91% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is up 278.97 points at 20,086.19 while the banking sector is up 179.20 points at 22,984.00 and the reality sector is up 23.14 points at 1,671.80. New Delhi, Dec 30 (ANI): Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 7.81 points up to stand at 27,403.54. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 1.95 points up to stand at 8,248.25. ADANI PORTS and BEML were among the top gainers of Group A with an increase of 7.92% and 7.53% along with NATCO PHARMA LTD. and ABB with an increase of 6.59% and 6.58% respectively, while the top losers of Group A include PMCFIN and RASOYA PROTEINS LTD. with a decrease of 4.97% and 4.93% along with UNITECH and JAIPRAKASH ASSOCIATES LTD. with a decrease of 4.79% and 4.03% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is down 61.93 points at 18,670.54 while the banking sector is up 143.37 points at 21,365.09 and the reality sector is down 3.11 points at 1,540.13. Melbourne, Nov 18 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday met Governor of Victoria Alex Chernov after he arrived in Melbourne on the fourth and final leg of his four-city tour of Australia. Governor of Victoria Alex Chernov is also hosting the chief executives' roundtable during which Modi would interact with the who's who of the Australian industry and business houses. Modi signed the regular visitor's note at the entry. Following the same, PM Modi met top Australian business leaders at a Melbourne roundtable that will also have leaders from India Inc in attendance. The 20-member Indian delegation at the roundtable includes the likes of Essar Group chairman Shashi Ruia, Gautam Adani, founder and chairman, Adani group, Anand Mahindra, chairman and managing director, Mahindra Group, Vishal Sikka, chairman and managing director, Infosys, and BP Rao of BHE among others. Shutdown in Manipur continues for second day

Manipur, Sep 05 (ANI): Security has been stepped up as shutdown called by United Naga Council (UNC), in Manipur entered second day on Friday (September 05), to protest against recent killings of civilians by security forces. On August 30, two civilians were killed and 26 injured in violent police firing to control a rally protesting against the imposition of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) 144 in Ukhrul district. The resolution to impose a ban in the state was passed on Monday (September 01) after UNC President, L Adani, convened a high level meeting with representatives of Naga Civil Organisations and chiefs of different Nagaland tribes.
