Indo-China joint military drill organises basketball match for friendly relations

Chengdu, Nov 11 (ANI): Continuing the 10-day joint military drill, army troops from India and China held a basketball match in order to enhance bilateral ties during session taking place in Chengdu province in China. The soldiers practiced field firing using weapons of the other country to combat militancy and tested their physical endurance during the obstacle course by indulging in training exercises. The Directors of the panel also visited the training areas of the two teams. The basketball teams comprised of a mix of army men from both the nations. Nov 11, 2013

Joint military drill by India, China to combat terrorism

Beijing, Nov 7 (ANI): Indian and Chinese soldiers began an anti-terrorism exercise "Hand-in-Hand" in Chinese province with their eyes firmly on enhancing mutual trust and boosting cooperation between two of the largest and well-equipped armed forces in the world. The Indian contingent was led by Brigadier D.S. Shishodia along with the commanding officer Colonel Gaurav Srivastava. Shishodia said on Wednesday that the troops were mixed and organised in two companies in order to learn from each other. Exercise Hand-in-Hand formally begun at Miao Ergang which comes under Chengdu Military area. Miao is 150 km south of Chengdu. 150 Indian army contingents reached the Chengdu city on November 04, to take part in the anti-terrorism drills. Nov 7, 2013
