Advani's comments came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for New Delhi on Tuesday after a five-day visit to the United States. Prior to his departure, Prime Minister Modi shook hands with his supporters who had gathered at the Andrews Air Force Base here in large numbers. Delhi LG appeals residents to come out and participate in 'Clean India Mission'

New Delhi, Sep 30 (ANI): As Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Clean India Mission' is to commence from October 02, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung appealed all the residents of the national capital to come out and participate in the mission. He said that Obama greeted Modi saying, Khem cho, Mr Prime Minister, which means How are you, Mr Prime Minister in Gujarati language; and Modi responded in English language, Thank you Mr. President. Akbaruddin said Modi laid out his hopes and aspirations for India and his developmental vision in a meeting which lasted 90 minutes. He also said that both the dynamic leaders agreed hat US- Indo relation is most important and it was incumbent for both to strengthen it. Anantnag, Sep 29 (ANI): Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi assured support to flood victims during their visit to the state of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday (September 29). Sonia and her son Rahul also interacted with the flood victims in Anantnag district. Rahul said they would be visiting other flood affected areas of the state as well. Emergency workers are struggling to prevent waterborne diseases like cholera as fetid water swilled around localities in the state. Hospitals were flooded when the Jhelum River burst its banks and staff scattered around the Srinagar city were unable to get to work.
