CBI says no foul play in Gopinath Munde's death

New Delhi, Oct 8 (ANI): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has reportedly ruled out any foul play in the death of former Union Rural Development Minister Gopinath Munde. The CBI was given the responsibility of probing the reasons behind the death of Munde following demands made by a number of senior BJP leaders who had suspected foul play in the accident. Munde died on June 3 this year after his car was hit by another vehicle in Delhi while he was on his way to the Indira Gandhi International Airport to take a flight to Mumbai. Bihar Home Secretary assures thorough probe in Gandhi Maidan stampede

Patna, Oct 4 (ANI): Bihar's Principal Secretary (Home) Amir Subhani on Saturday said a thorough investigation will be conducted to find out the reason for Friday's stampede at the Gandhi Maidan and added that a hearing in this case will take place next Tuesday. Subhani and Additional Director General of Police (Headquarters) Gupteshwar Pandey have been asked to conduct an inquiry into the stampede. Patna, Oct 04 (ANI): At least 32 people were killed and manyothers injured in a major stampede in Patna city of Bihar during celebrations of Dussehra. The incident took place at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Eyewitness's said that chaos was created after an electric wire fell on the ground. According to reports, most of the deceased are women and children. The injured were immediately rushed to Patna Medical College Hospital. District Magistrate, Manish Verma confirmed the death toll and said that the injured were under treatment in the hospital. Meanwhile, locals blamed the absence of any lighting at the venue for the accident and also the police who they alleged had kept two of the four exits closed for the VIP movement.
