New Delhi, Oct 20 (ANI): Olympic medalists Sushil Kumar and Yogeshwar Dutt participated in a marathon organized by election officials in New Delhi on Sunday. The objective of the marathon was to raise awareness among people to come and give their votes on the day of polling. The race was flagged off by Sushil Kumar and Chief Electoral officer Vijay Dev. Rahul Gandhi to address Congress rallies in MP today

Gwalior, Oct 17 (ANI): Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi will address two rallies in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh on Thursday during which he is expected to target the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government in the state. Gandhi is scheduled to address two rallies, the first in Shahdol and then in Gwalior. The Congress number two, who will be accompanied by former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh and several other party stalwarts, will also visit Datia to meet those admitted to the hospital after being injured in Sunday's stampede at Ratangarh Temple. Sanjay Dutt gets 14 day parole extension

New Delhi, Oct 15 (ANI): Actor Sanjay Dutt, who was out on parole due to medical reasons, was granted a 14-day extension of his leave of furlough, according to jail authorities. Dutt sough an extension in the furlough on medical grounds. The 53-year-old actor was was sentenced for five years jail, after his conviction for illegal possession of arms in the Mumbai blasts case and is to serve the remaining 42 months of his sentence. CWG Baton arrives in India

New Delhi, Oct 12 (ANI): The regal baton of Queen Elizabeth II for the 2014 Commonwealth Games arrived in India after its grand launch from the Buckingham Palace earlier this week. It was ceremoniously received in New Delhi. The gala event would be held at Glasgow in Scotland from July 23 to August 3, 2014. Given a warm reception to the baton at New Delhi’s international airport was the Acting President of Indian Olympic Association (IOA), Vijay Kumar Malhotra who said that he expects Indian sportsperson to emerge victorious in the famous sports meet at Glasgow. Sportsperson including wrestler, Yogeshwar Dutt and discus thrower Krishna Poonia were also present to receive the Baton.
