Influx of Pakistani migrants fuels anger in Gilgit

Gilgit, Jan 13: Rising unemployment, poverty and income disparity is fuelling dissatisfaction among the local people in Gilgit Baltistan. Government employees from Pakistan get double salary and incentives to serve in Gilgit, while locals are prevented from getting any employment in the public sector. Gilgit Baltistan, a part of the erstwhile princely state of Jammu and Kashmir, has been illegally occupied by Pakistan for over six decades now. Jan 13, 2014
