West Bengal/ New Delhi, June 18 (ANI): Trade union and officials held a tripartite meeting in Kolkata in a bid to rehabilitate the country's iconic Ambassador Car workers and discussed the back wage payment issue of nullified employees. The meeting was held between Ambassador Car company management, trade union and government officials. Earlier, the maker of the iconic Ambassador car- long hailed as the ultimate choice of Indian officialdom -halted its production on May 24, citing weak demand and a lack of funds, casting a shadow on the future of a vehicle, the appearance of which has essentially remained unchanged for more than five decades. CEO of jute mill beaten to death by mill workers in West Bengal

Kolkata, June 16 (ANI): Workers of a jute mill allegedly beat to death the chief executive officer in the factory premises after he refused to agree to their demand on wages at Bhadreswar in Hooghly district of Kolkata. CEO of North Brook Jute Mill, S K Maheswari, was beaten up by the agitated workers of the factory when he rejected their demand for an increase in the weekly working hours so that they are paid more. General Manager, Kiranjit Singh, said that the workers suddenly turned violent and started throwing bricks and iron rods. Kolkata, June 15 (ANI): A Royal Bhutan Airlines flight whose windshield cracked during its journey from Paro to Mumbai was forced to make an emergency landing in Kolkata on Sunday.
