Mass graves in Balochistan raise concerns about human rights violations

Karachi / Khuzdar, Feb 03: These female members of the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) held a protest rally in Karachi to condemn the discovery of three mass graves in Khuzdar district of Balochistan on January 25. Human rights groups have expressed "shock and deep concern" over the recovery of over 150 bodies, believed to be the corpses of the missing Baloch, who were arrested and later unlawfully killed by Pakistani security agencies. The Voice for Baloch Missing Persons has the details of 8,000 people who have disappeared over the past ten years, and haven't been seen since. The "pick, kill and dump" policy of Pakistan's intelligence agencies raises serious concerns about the violation of human rights in Balochistan. Feb 3, 2014
