The unprecedented rainfall last year, which wreaked havoc across Uttarakhand, making rivers overflow and setting off massive landslides, killed almost 6,000 people. Two million people have had their lives disrupted by the devastation and are trying to cope with the impact of the calamity. A relative of the flood victim, Umesh Gussa, lamented over state and central government's apathy towards their long-pending demands. Crowd of relatives of the flood victims came out in droves in Kanpur city of Uttar Pradesh and protested against the state government. One of the protesters, Varun, vented out his ire as he has not yet received death certificate of his dear ones. Jun 16, 2014
