Anil Ambani takes up Modis Clean India challenge, wields broom in Mumbai

Mumbai, Oct 08 (ANI): Reliance Group Chairman Anil Ambani, on Wednesday took up Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Clean India’ challenge and swept streets in country’s financial capital of Mumbai to mark his participation. Prime Minister Modi kicked-off his ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan’ or ‘Clean India Mission’ on birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on October 02. Modi had called up actors Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Kamal Hassan, actress Priyanka Chopra, cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar, yoga guru Ramdev, Congress party lawmaker Shashi Tharoor and Ambani to take up the drive. Indian wrestling team arrives in New Delhi after bagging medals in Asiad

New Delhi, Oct 04 (ANI): Indian wrestlers Yogeshwar Dutt and Bajrang arrived in New Delhi on Saturday after bagging gold and silver medal respectively at the 17th Asian Games held in Incheon in South Korea. Dutt outshone Tajikistan's Zalimkhan Yusupov in the men's 65 kg freestyle wrestling match by 1-0, whereas Bajrang had to settle with a silver medal after losing the men's freestyle 61kg final match with 1-3 score to Iran. His compatriot Narsingh Pancham Yadav settled for a bronze in 74kg freestyle. Speaking to mediapersons, Dutt expressed his happiness over the win. Asian Games: India bags gold in Hockey, beats Paksitan

New Delhi, Oct 02 (ANI): India bagged gold at the 17th Asian games after Indian hockey men's team defeated Pakistan in the finals. India beat Pakistan 4-2 in penalties to win gold and a place in Rio Olympics. The team scored 4th and 5th goal to add another gold to India's medal tally. The team was lead by Sreejesh. The Indian hockey team had last won Asian Games gold in 1998 in Bangkok. The Indian women's relay team consisting of Priyanka Pawar, Tintu Luka, Mandeep Kaur and Poovamma also bagged a gold 4x400m women's relay with the perfect timing of 3:28.68. Oct 2, 2014
