CEC announces LS polls schedule, regional parties react

Mumbai/ New Delhi, March 05 (ANI): After the Election Commission on Wednesday announced the schedule for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls, the regional parties react in both positive as well as negative sense. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut welcomed the schedule and said that the party is ready for the battle and was waiting for the same. While, CPI (M) leader Sitaram Yechury showed unhappiness with the ‘long schedule’ for the polls and said that it could have been done in lesser time. Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agarwal said that the polls will bring surprising results for all. Police arrest Maoist in Jharkhand, recover arms and ammunition

Palamu, Mar 5 (ANI): Police on Tuesday arrested a Maoist cadre, Sanjay Bhuiya, in Palamu district of Jharkhand. During the arrest, the police officials also recovered arms and ammunition. Ramesh also added that his team was conducting an anti-Maoist operation in Palamu since past three to four days. The Maoists, also known as Naxals, have killed police and politicians, and targeted government buildings and railway tracks in an insurgency that has killed thousands since the 1960s. The Maoists, who say they are fighting for the rights of the poor and landless, control some of India's mineral-rich areas and operate in large swathes of the eastern, central and southern countryside. LS Polls: Kejriwal kicks off three-day yatra in UP
