Japan provides human resource training in nuclear power generation

Hanoi/ Japan, Jan 20 (ANI): In order to meet the rapid growth in electricity demand driven by a growing economy and expanding industrial base, Vietnam has decided to introduce nuclear energy. A developing country with a population of 92.5 million, Vietnam has selected Japan as its partner. The government issued a master plan specifying the project of building nuclear power plants, as the first time in Vietnam and South East Asia. Electric Power University (EPU) in Hanoi, is one of the six universities in Vietnam that are authorized to provide human resource training in nuclear power generation. The University has opened the Department of Nuclear Power in 2010 where students are learning basic knowledge required for nuclear power generation. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is one of the first partners which effectively cooperates and supports Electric Power University and provide nuclear engineering lecture. Recently, "Cool Japan lounge" exhibition was held at AEON Mall Binh Duon Canary in Vietnam by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, as a part of "Cool Japan World Trial" initiatives. AAP- BJP will surely merge in future: Ajay Maken before filing nomination papers

New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): Before filing his nomination papers from Sadar Bazar constituency, Congress leader Ajay Maken said that AAP and BJP will surely merge in future. He said that BJP’s CM Candidate Kiran Bedi and AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal started their journey from Anna Hazare’s protest and they will ultimately join hands together. He said that the two started with the name of corruption but now no one is talking about the same. He also invited the two leaders for a public debate and taking jibe at Bedi said that a person who can’t debate and answer to people's question, how does she plan to give governance in Delhi. New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): A court has ordered the government to release blocked funds of Greenpeace India, the environmental group said, months after being accused of running campaigns that were hurting the country’s economy. India's intelligence service in June said Greenpeace and other lobby groups were damaging the country's economy by campaigning against power projects, mining and genetically modified food. While Greenpeace denied the allegations, India asked its central bank to tighten controls on moving funds from abroad into Greenpeace's Indian accounts. Greenpeace said the Indian government had "arbitrarily barred" it from receiving foreign funds from Greenpeace International and Climate Works Foundation in June 2014. The government's move to restrict the movement of funds had raised concerns that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's new government will be tough on foreign-funded activist groups. Jan 21, 2015

New Delhi, Jan 21 (ANI): German Finance Minister, Wolfgang Schauble, said the euro zone has overcome a lack of confidence and is working to boost growth, but emerging nations should take the lead in reviving the global economy, in a seminar at New Delhi. Schauble, who is on a two-day India visit, to enhance bilateral economic relations, addressed a seminar entitled "Europe and India in the face of Globalisation" hosted by the Indian business group Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) where he reassured India that the euro zone is not about to lurch into a fresh crisis. Asked about the impact of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Schaeuble said whole of Europe has faced a lot of problems with Russia, but the most problems are faced by Russia itself. Europe would "deliver its fair contribution" to global growth, Schauble also said, while calling on emerging economies like India to make a bigger contribution. Later in the day, Schauble held a bilateral meeting with Indian counterpart, Arun Jaitley, in the capital. On Monday (January 19) Schauble also met Indian Prime Minster, Narendra Modi. Jan 21, 2015

Peshawar, January 20, 2015: While the State of Pakistan's continues to connive with militants to disturb the peace in other countries, it is the common man who continues to suffer a great deal. One month after the gruesome attack on the army public school in Peshawar, the school reopened, the candle light vigils were held and a tough message was sent to militants and its backers within the State of Pakistan. Activists, campaigners and members of the civil society gathered in several cities across Pakistan on Friday (January 16) to mark one month since the deadly attack by Taliban gunmen on the Army Public School (APS) in Peshawar in which over 140 people, including 134 children, were systematically gunned down. In Islamabad, several parliamentarians came out to join a vigil outside Parliament House. In Lahore, around two hundred citizens lit candles in memory of those killed in the school attack.
