Concerned dept began work, process time consuming: SIT on Black Money

New Delhi, Oct 30 (ANI): The member of SIT on Black Money, Arijit Pasayat said that the concerned department has begun working and it has now reached the stage of investigation. He said that the investigation involves Income Tax department and added that the report will be submitted by the date given by Supreme Court. Pasayat stated that the process is a time consuming one and the committee will try to do it as soon as possible. Reactions pour in as Govt submits list of black money account holders to SC

New Delhi, Oct 29 (ANI): Reactions poured in on Wednesday after the Government of India submitted the list of all black money account holders to the Supreme Court as directed. The Supreme Court on Wednesday was told by the Narendra Modi-led NDA Government that it would require time till March 31, 2015 to complete all income-related assessments of people found guilty of parking ill-gotten money (black money) in banks abroad to facilitate an accurate probe and subsequent punitive action. SC directs govt to reveal names of all black money holders by tomorrow

New Delhi, Oct 28 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Tuesday directed the Central Government to disclose to it names of all black money holders by Wednesday. Lawyer Prashant Bhushan said that Centra had asked for modulations in law as they were unable to reveal some names due to double taxation avoidance agreement. He also said that Arvind Kejriwal had also filed an application asking government to reveal names of the three black money account holders who had themselves confessed it before Income Tax Department 2 years ago.
