North Korea celebrates New Year with ice missile

North Korea celebrated the New Year with a firework display on 1 January in Pyongyang. An ice sculpture festival started off the celebrations with a replica of the countries new intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), Hwasong-15.  Tensions have been rising over North Koreas nuclear and missile programs, which Pyongyang continues to pursue in defiance of U.N. SpaceX rocket with glowing light mistaken for UFO

Social media users were treated to a glowing light around SpaceXs Falcon 9. The rocket could be spotted from around California and parts of Arizona. Some of Twitter mistook the images for something caused by aliens or a missile from North Korea. The satellites are part of a series of satellite deliveries to update SpaceXs satellite network.
