Sri Lanka President Maithripala Sirisena meets PM Modi at Hyderabad House

New Delhi, Feb 16 (ANI): Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House on Monday. Both the leaders are likely to hold talks on all major issues such as devolution of power to the Tamil community and the sticky fishermen issue. Earlier in the day, Maithripala Sirisena met External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj in New Delhi to boost ties. The two leaders discussed bilateral and regional issues. Sirisena arrived in India on Sunday, on his first state visit abroad, as a part of efforts to repair relations with New Delhi which soured under the previous government. Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena pays tribute at Rajghat

New Delhi, Feb 16 (ANI): Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena on Monday reached Raj Ghat and laid wreath at the Mahatma Gandhi memorial. Reportedly, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will call on him at his hotel, ITC Maurya, after which he is slated to hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Hyderabad House. Sirisena is also likely to meet President Pranab Mukherjee in the evening, which is to be followed by a presidential dinner in his honour at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Fans in Jaipur burnt crackers on roadside and said that whether India wins the World Cup or not it has made a mark by winning against Pak. People in Mumbai held a march holding Indian flag and dancing on roads. Fans in capital New Delhi danced to 'dhol' beats and celebrated the match victory.
