New Delhi, May 26 (ANI): Authorities deployed over 6,000 security personnel from paramilitary commandos to police sharpshooters on Monday turning New Delhi into a virtual high security fortress ahead of the open-air oath-taking ceremony of Narendra Modi as the country's next prime minister at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Delhi police with the help of other intelligence agencies and Rapid Action Force (RAF) soldiers kept a vigil eye as the ceremony will be attended by around 3000 guests. May 26, 2014

Koraput, May 25 (ANI): India's paramilitary, Border Security Force and police in a joint operation arrested a hardcore Maoist, seized explosives from him in the red corridor of Odisha. At the tip of intelligence, combing was launched in Koraput district of Odisha on Sunday to nab the red rebel, Satya Mandingi alias Malla, who was caught in the Narayanpatna area after an exchange of fire. Poonch, May 22 (ANI): Police in Jammu and Kashmir arrested a militant while he was returning from neighboring Pakistan along with his wife and eight children in Poonch district. The militant identified as Mukhtiyar Ahmad left India to go to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir area in 2001 and got trained militant outfit there. In 2003, he came to take back his wife Shamima Akhtar. After a gap of 11 years Ahmad was crossing into the country via Nepal border and at the tip of intelligence the police arrested him along with his wife and children. May 22, 2014
