Death toll rises to 140 after Taliban gunmen disguised in army uniform attack base in Afghanistan

More than 140 Afghan soldiers were killed in a Taliban attack on a military base. The attackers were reportedly dressed in military uniforms to get past checkpoints.Most of the soldiers were killed when leaving a mosque or having lunch. The attackers were armed with rocket-propelled grenades and guns.About 70 foreign military advisers were stationed at the base in Mazar-e-Sharif. North Koreas deputy ambassador to the United Nations Kim In-ryong said on 17 April that the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea (DPRK) is ready to react to any mode of war desired by the US. Speaking at the UN headquarters in New York, he accused the US of using gangster-like logic and sending a message to Pyongyang with its missile strikes on Syria.
