Thimphu, June 15 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated Supreme Court of Bhutan. Embarking on his first foreign visit since taking over, Prime Minister Modi arrived in Bhutan today. A grand welcome was accorded to him by the Bhutanese government which rolled out a red carpet and gave a ceremonial guard of honour to him. Later Modi met Bhutan Prime Minster, Lyonchen Tshering Tobgay and King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck in a bid to reassert Indian influence in the subcontinent offering financial and technical help to the small Himalayan kingdom. Thimpu, June 15 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday met Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk and the two discussed an entire gamut of ties to cement the "unique and special" bilateral relationship. During the meeting Modi invited the Bhutanese King and his wife Jetsun Pema to visit India. Before the meeting when Modi arrived at the palace, he was given a warm, ceremonial welcome with a traditional dance.
