Reactions pour in after Azam Khan says Taj Mahal should be handed over to Waqf Board

New Delhi/Lucknow, Nov 21 (ANI): Reactions poured in on Friday after SP leader Azam Khan said that the income generated from the Taj Mahal should be handed over to Waqf Board since the monument is a mausoleum. Minister of State for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that Waqf Board should take care of their properties and Taj Mahal is the property of the country. BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh taking a dig over Azam Khan said that Khan has not been able to take care of his own buffaloes, he won't be able to take care of Taj Mahal either. BSP leader Sudhindra Bhadoria slamming Azam Khan said that Khan has always been making controversial statements. However, Muslim Cleric Khalid Rashid Firangi Mahali welcomed Azam Khan's statement and said that the demand is absolutely right. Nov 21, 2014

Massive employment drive for youth takes place in Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 19 (ANI): A recruitment drive restarted in Jammu and Kashmir and corporate firms held workshops to provide employment to youth as the region was recovering from the worst floods in a century. The three-day drive was launched on Monday in Kashmir's capital, Srinagar, by a special initiative called Udaan or 'flight' under the public-private partnership, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) India. 'Udaan' has been working in the state for three years but had halted its efforts after floods struck the region in September. A coordinator of the NSDC, Bint Abass, said that they were renewing efforts to provide jobs to the affected youth in the state. Abass added that 18 corporate firms were participating in the drive to train and recruit youth in a wide range of sectors like banking, information technology, finance, hospitality and education.
