Delhi polls: AAP files complaint against Kiran Bedi

New Delhi, Feb 07 (ANI): The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday filed a complaint against the BJP's chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi for allegedly violating the Model Code of Conduct. In a letter to the Chief Election Commission, the party said Bedi had held a 'pad-yatra' and asked for votes in her constituency, Krishna Nagar, which was covered live by various news channels. AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal hit out at rival BJP earlier in the day, saying the Delhi polls were a one-way contest and the BJP already knew that it was losing. The polling is presently on at 12,177 polling stations. Of these, 714 have been declared as critical and 191 as highly critical. Voting will continue till 6 p.m. in the evening. Feb 7, 2015

Kerala, Feb 6 (ANI): : Domestic and foreign tourists thronged Kerala state for annual temple festival to see caparisoned elephants and traditional colourful dance. The temple festival, ‘Thaipooyam’, was celebrated with religious pageantry at Koorkancherry Sree Maheswara Temple in Thrissur district amid drum beats and procession. Main attractions of the festival were decorated elephants and traditional dance, ‘Kavadis’, which enthralled the visitors. People of the region revelled in the celebrations as other temples and houses were also decorated. Thaipooyam festival is celebrated in the name of Lord Subrahmanya, son of Hindu god Shiva. On this day, special rituals are also organised. Another major attraction was ‘Kavadiattam’ or dancing with floral arrangements made on wooden frames. New Delhi, Feb 06 (ANI): BJPs chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi, who ended her campaigning in her constituency of Krishna Nagar in east Delhi on Thursday, said she will spend her entire day with BJP workers today. She said that she will celebrate this evening with party workers. Even as Delhi is all set to go to polls tomorrow, Bedi visited a gurudwara in Krishna Nagar constituency and prepared 'langar'. New Delhi, Feb 04 (ANI): In a show of strength, the women's wing of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) organised a bike rally in New Delhi on Wednesday, ahead of assembly elections in the city. This bike rally was organised in Krishna Nagar, the constituency from where the chief ministerial candidate of ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Kiran Bedi, is contesting elections. Delhi goes to polls on February 7 for the second time in 14 months after AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal pulled plugs on his government supported by Congress party barely 49 days into office last February. AAP supporters from across the country converged in the capital to take part in the rally. Bollywood actress and member of AAP from Chandigarh city, Gul Panag, led the rally riding her trademark Bullet bike, wearing a red jacket.
