New Delhi, Feb 16 (ANI): Senior Communist leader Govind Pansare and his wife Uma were seriously injured after unknown men opened fire at them in Kolhapur on Monday. According reports, the assailants fired gunshots at the couple at around 8 a.m. when they were out for a morning walk. New Delhi, Feb 16 (ANI): Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena arrived in India on his first state visit abroad, as a part of efforts to repair relations with New Delhi which soured under the previous government. Sirisena earlier pledged to pursue a more global foreign policy in a break from his predecessor Mahinda Rajapaksa's pursuit of close ties with China, a key supporter of Sri Lanka's economy since its 26-year civil war ended in 2009. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had tweeted that he was looking forward "to welcoming President Sirisena later this month." Pak HC declares Pervez Musharraf ineligible for Parliament membership

New Delhi, Feb 15 (ANI): The Sindh High Court (SHC) has reportedly declared former President General (retired) Pervez Musharraf "ineligible" for Parliament membership, saying that he did not fulfill the criteria set in Articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution. A three-judge bench of the SHC, headed by Chief Justice Maqbool Baqir, asserted that the military ruler misused his powers and abrogated the Constitution and the decisions taken by him have hurt Pakistan's image. The detail verdict has been released by the court. Following a four-year-long self-imposed exile, Musharraf came back to Pakistan in March 2013 to contest the May 11 general election.
