Kolkata/ New Delhi, July 7 (ANI): While the common Indian pinned hopes on the Modi government for tax exemption and women_s incentives, experts looked forward to the upcoming budget as a check on inflation and a boost to investment and infrastructure. The Union Budget will be presented by the Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley, on July 10. A resident of Kolkata, Manoj Dalal, hoped the budget would bring relief to women. Sunanda Pushkar's autopsy: Harsh Vardhan seeks report from AIIMS director

New Delhi, July 02 (ANI): Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has sought a report from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) director over an AIIMS doctor's allegations that the autopsy in Sunanda Pushkar's death was submitted under pressure. Harsh Vardhan also told that the former forensics head Dr Sudhir Gupta, who has claimed that Pushkar's autopsy was made under pressure, had also given a presentation regarding his promotion, soon after he assumed charge as the Union Health Minister. Sunanda Pushkar, was found dead in her hotel room in Leela Palace in New Delhi's Chanakyapuri on January 17. Prior to her death, Pushkar had been involved in a Twitter scandal allegedly involving her husband Shashi Tharoor and a Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar. Jul 2, 2014

Shimla police organize anti-drug marathon

Shimla, June 29 (ANI): Police organised an anti-drug run wherein volunteers and locals wearing bright t-shirts and Red Ribbons wrist bands claiming a drug free lifestyle, ran on the streets of the hill town of Shimla on Sunday to spread awareness. Around 2,015 runners, including locals, tourists and policemen participated in the anti-drug run which was organised in two competitive categories- a half marathon of 21.5 kilometers and a mini marathon of 10 kilometers. The campaign, which is an annual feature in Himachal Pradesh, was initiated three years ago by the state police. India's first Corporate Football League to kick off in New Delhi

New Delhi, June 29 (ANI): With the FIFA World Cup having captured the world's attention, Indian capital New Delhi is all set to host the nation's first ever Corporate Football League (CFL) 2014. The first match of the CFL would kick-off on Sunday at the Thyagraj Stadium in New Delhi. 25 Corporate teams would be competing with each other and the tournament would conclude on July 13, which is also the day for the FIFA World Cup final in Brazil. During the inauguration of the CFL on Saturday at the Thyagraj Stadium, Director of CFL Sanjay Singhania said that corporate sector and media together can contribute towards the promotion of football in India. Secretary of the Sports Authority of India Neeraj Kansal, who was also present at the inaugural ceremony, said that the corporate should come forward and help take the sport to a greater level in the nation. Manipur's rich cultural heritage showcased on ramp

Manipur, June 29 (ANI): Dressed in traditional Manipuri dress, models sashayed down the ramp in Imphal. The event was organized at Iboyaima Sumang Leela Shanglen under the banner of ‘Sagonarakpa Natki Saktam'. Altogether 28 models from Manipur were invited to give the show an ethnic look. The show aimed at highlighting the uniqueness of the region with special focus on traditional tools. During the show, young Manipuri artists enthralled the audience by performing Maibi Jagoi, a traditional Manipuri dance.
