Political crisis continues, JD (U) leaders meet today

Patna, May 19 (ANI): The political drama in Bihar that began after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar offered his resignation on Saturday continues to unfold with new twists and turns even on Monday. The Janata Dal United legislature is meeting today to discuss the ongoing situation after Nitish said that he would re-think his decision after a majority of JD (U) MLAs unanimously wanted him back at the helm of the state. However, JDU chief Sharad Yadav has said that the decision of Nitish quitting is final. Nitish's decision to resign as CM came in wake of a severe poll debacle for the JD (U) in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections. New Delhi, May 17 (ANI): Politicos react over Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's resignation from his post on moral grounds after perceiving General Election results in which JD (U) performed badly. LJP Chief Ram Vilas Paswan said that it was the only option left with Kumar as he did not receive majority in these General Elections. He added that his party LJP is prepared for the next elections to be held six months later. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that if Nitish Kumar had been with NDA, he would not have seen such bad days.
