Congress leader, Priya Dutt stated that the Congress needs to go back to the people and ask their advice to understand where the party went wrong in gaining their confidence. AAP justifies protest, says Gadkari will be exposed soon

New Delhi, May 22 (ANI): AAP leaders on Thursday justified the protest held by AAP supporters against AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal's arrest outside Tihar Jail on Wednesday. Ashutosh stated that AAP respects law and order but protesting peacefully against injustice was not wrong. Meanwhile, Sanjay Singh raised questions as to why action was not taken against BJP leader Ram Jethmilani as he too had called Nitin Gadkari as corrupt several times. He also said that Narendra Modi had called Kejriwal a 'Pakistani agent' in public for which he had no proof, thus raising questions on law and order of the nation to take action against him too. Leaders and workers of AAP detained for protesting against Kejriwal's arrest

New Delhi, May 22 (ANI): Leaders and workers of AAP were detained for protesting against the judicial custody of its chief Arvind Kejriwal in a defamation case. While the leaders and workers were protesting outside the Tihar jail complex where Kejriwal has been booked, police came into action dragging and lynching his supporters. Kejriwal was sent to judicial custody for two days by a court in New Delhi on Wednesday in connection with a case filed against him by BJP's Nitin Gadkari. AAP leader Sanjay Singh said lynching and dragging was anti-democratic act and was not called for. AAP gets agitated over Kejriwal taken in police custody

New Delhi, May 21 (ANI): AAP leaders on Wednesday reacted agitatedly over AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal taken into police custody in a defamation case filed by BJP leader Nitin Gadkari. Manish Sisodia said that Kejriwal has not done any crime by not filling a bail bond, thus targeting the 'good days' of governance under next PM Narendra Modi. Prashant Bhushan gave an insight into the matter saying that a bail bond was not filled even in the previous cases against Kejriwal so it was not even compulsory in this one. Also Sanjay Singh said that Kejriwal has not filled a bail bond in previous cases also and added that this case will be carried in higher courts. Meanwhile, Ashutosh stated that Kejriwal had only raised voice against corruption which is 'sarcastically' wrong according to law. Patna, May 19 (ANI): The political drama in Bihar that began after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar offered his resignation on Saturday continues to unfold with new twists and turns even on Monday. The Janata Dal United legislature is meeting today to discuss the ongoing situation after Nitish said that he would re-think his decision after a majority of JD (U) MLAs unanimously wanted him back at the helm of the state. However, JDU chief Sharad Yadav has said that the decision of Nitish quitting is final. Nitish's decision to resign as CM came in wake of a severe poll debacle for the JD (U) in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections.
