Tripura, April 07 (ANI): Polling in one of the two Lok Sabha seats in Tripura commenced on Monday in the first stage of 2014 general elections. Around 1.2 million voters are eligible to vote in the Tripura West constituency, who will decide the fortunes of 13 candidates in the state. The Left has won from West Tripura 11 times since the first Lok Sabha election of 1952 and the Congress four times. CPI-M's Sankar Prasad Datta, Congress's Arunoday Saha, BJP state president Sudhindra Chandra Dasgupta, Trinamool Congress state chief Ratan Chakraborty and Aam Aadmi Party's Salil Saha are among the contenders. The electoral fortunes of 51 contestants, including two Union ministers, will be decided in five Lok Sabha seats in Assam when an electorate of 64,41,634, including 31,20,067 women will cast their votes amidst tight security. New Delhi, April 6 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal, on Sunday (April 06) appealed to the masses to vote for his party while conducting a road show from Shadipur metro station to Chandni Chowk in Delhi. Kejriwal was followed by large numbers of supporters and workers as he moved through the streets of the city.
