Nay Pyi Taw, Nov 11 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday, met Myanmarese President Thein Sein. Modi, later in his tweets, said that they had an extensive discussion covering various aspects of bilateral relations. He also added that talks were held to strengthen ties in the fields of culture, commerce and enhancing connectivity. Modi is in Myanmar on the first leg of his three-nation 10-day tour that will also take him to Australia and Fiji. He was given the ceremonial Guard of Honour upon landing in the Myanmarese capital. India postpones day tourism at Wagah border in view of blast on Pakistani side

Amritsar, Nov 10 (ANI): India's Border Security Force postponed the Day Tourism at Wagah border in Punjab which was scheduled to kick off from November 10, after a suicide bomb attack killed scores of people on the Pakistani side last Sunday. At least 60 people were killed and 110 wounded when the explosion ripped through a car park about 500 metres (yards) from Pakistan's border gate just as hundreds of people left the daily performance. The plan for Day tourism was for tourists who reach early at the Wagah border and the security forces were to give them a tour of the area since the main ceremony is held in the evening. The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Border Security Force (BSF), MF Farooqui said that the new activity would need elaborate security for the crowd that was expected to turn up for the day tourism.
