Al Qaeda is trying to enter Assam, says Tarun Gogoi

Guwahati, Sep 21 (ANI): Days after Al Qaeda threatened to carry out militant activities in India through a video, Chief Minister of Assam, Tarun Gogoi said intelligence sources revealed that the militant outfit was trying to enter the state and establish its base. The chief minister also said that Al Qaeda was trying to have some understandings with the Assamese separatist group United Liberation Force of Assam (ULFA) to gain access inside the state. Bangladesh to sensitize people about dangers of militancy

Dhaka, Sep 14 (ANI): Bangladeshi experts in Dhaka held a seminar to create awareness about the dangers of militancy in wake of recent threats from al-Qaeda signalling the formation of a militant group in the Indian subcontinent. The seminar “Jamaat’s involvement in militancy and militancy in the name of religion: Where does it end?” was organised by Ekattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee, an anti-war criminal platform in Dhaka city.
