China is embroiled in multiple territorial disputes with its neighbours both over land sea. The country contests ownership of islands in the South China Sea against Taiwan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei, and Vietnam. There is also a long-running fued between China and Japan over Senkaku/ Diaoyu Islands in the East China Sea. In the west of the country China and India fought a war over a swathe of disputed Himalayan border in 1962 and even in 2016 the spat continues to provoke fiery exchanges between Asia’s two biggest super-powers. Theresa May has reportedly raised concerns over the situation in Yemen as Saudi Arabia continues its bombing campaign targeting Houthi rebels. But Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International have documented more than 70 unlawful strikes, thousands of civilians have been killed and 80% of Yemen are in need of aid. The United Kingdom is the second biggest arms dealer in the world and has licensed £3.3 billion worth of arms to Saudi Arabia since the bombing began.With this evidence emerging there are increasing calls for Britain to stop selling arms to Saudi Arabia. Afghanistan: Pamlarena siege ends in Kabul after suicide bombers kill 24

Three Taliban gunmen and one civilian have been killed Kabul in a 12 hour police siege marking the end of a day of carnage in which 24 more people were killed and more than 90 wounded in twin suicide attacks outside the Afghan Ministry of Defence. The siege followed three blasts in the capital in 24 hours, two have been claimed by the Taliban. Sep 6, 2016

G20 summit: Chinese official rows with Obamas national security adviser on tarmac

US President Barack Obamas national security adviser Susan Rice was confronted by a Chinese official at Hangzhou airport, causing US Secret Service to intervene following the incident.According to a Reuters report, soon after Obamas Air Force One grounded in Hangzhou, a Chinese official tried to stop Rice from walking towards the official car meant for the US president. The official was seen speaking to her angrily when she crossed a barricade meant for the media. Sep 3, 2016
